DESCRIPTION
This unique game features a set of cards that deviate from the norm, with its core concept revolving around intense player competition and the capture of opponent's cards. The game comprises a deck of cards adorned with formidable warriors and potent tools, each possessing special skills to crush and defeat adversaries. However, there's a twist - players remain in the dark about the weaponry their opponents hold. I took on the task of crafting this game using Photoshop, well before it came to life through the printing process. What sets this game apart is that it was not created following traditional game design conventions. Instead, the client personally developed the game's concept and meticulously constructed its rules. The client provided me with all the essential details and afforded me ample time to bring the vision to fruition, particularly since the game encompasses a total of 74 cards. As a result, the game is now fully prepared and was launched within a mere few weeks of its design's completion. The hope is that it will carve out its niche in the competitive gaming market.

MY EXPERIENCE
During my work on this project, I indeed discovered how much of a beginner I was. The client wasn't entirely satisfied with the box design, but nevertheless, I put in extra effort to make the cards perfect, especially since I didn't have to draw any characters as the client had already provided all the drawings of the heroes and weapons. I later realized how bad I was at choosing and coordinating colors, which pushed me to do more research and learn more about graphic design. In my field, which is game development, it requires more than just being a designer.
You need to have a keen artistic eye, experience with various design software like Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, and you need to be aware of the printing process to avoid any issues for your client later on. More importantly, you need to be a player yourself because as long as you love what you do, you will undoubtedly excel at it one day.
